MERRY EVERYTHING!

It's hard to get in the mood to write this letter as it just doesn't feel like the holiday season with all this warm and crazy weather we are having here in Iowa.  A few of us here are really wanting a white Christmas and maybe some ice on the lakes for ice fishing!

Jayden has been busy this year fishing, wrestling tournaments, fishing, wrestling camps and fishing! He qualified for Greco-Roman Wrestling Nationals in Fargo, ND again this summer. He was also picked to go to Iowa Boys State in Des Moines by our local legion post. The rest of his summer was consumed with fishing of all kinds whether it was trout stream fishing, night time cat fishing, out in the boat or in the water. We swear he was born with a pole in his hand:) In July he turned 18! That makes us officially OLD. Not to mention he is a senior this year. He started the school year by going out for cross country for the first time ever. Not sure it made him fall in love with the sport but it sure helped him get ready for this years wrestling season. This years wrestling season is upon us and Jayden is wrestling at 120 lbs for the Prairie Hawks. Our team is highly rated in the state so we are expecting to see some great things from them for Jaydens last and final year of school wrestling.

Rylee, 15, and has had a very busy year and is our social bug. She seems to be in every activity possible and they all have to be at once which keeps mama's taxi busy. This summer she also decided it was time to make some money of her own and DE-tasseled. It takes so much dedication to get up at that early hour and work in 100 degree weather in a corn field...everyday of the week! She toughed it out and never missed a day. We are pretty proud of her work ethic:) This fall, Rylee tried out for freshman football cheer (yes she is a freshman already) and made it!! She and her squad worked so hard and had a great season. They were fun to watch! Rylee is also apart of the Prairie wrestling team. No, she is not a wrestler, but has taken after her mama and is a stat girl! It sure is nice having both kids on the same team for once! Oh, and lets not forget Rylees beautiful singing voice. She sings in choir, Cantabile (select acapella group), and is singing in the state speech competition.

Mayson turned 6 in February and is a kindergartener! She is in a regular kindergarten class all day. She is reading now, telling time by the hour, learning Spanish, making friends and so much more. She is LOVING school. She still gets speech, occupational therapy, and music therapy and just keeps blossoming! This year Mayson also started taking dance class. SHE LOVES IT!! It has helped her with following directions and gross motor skills. We are hoping she will dance in the spring recital! She loves Strawberry Shortcake, Barbie, baby dolls, and Toy Story!! Throughout the year, Mayson is her brother and sister's biggest fans, tagging along to all their activities. :)

May and Mama at Arc March
In July, we celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary. We celebrated with our close friends Brian and Jenn who happen to share the same wedding date! We also took the kids camping up in Decorah during Nordic fest. We enjoyed the fresh springs, hiking and trout fishing. Stacy is still controller at Bennett Machine and Fabricating in Anamosa. Amy is still full time stay at home mama. Niece Aida comes over a few days a week to keep her on her toes!
Cheese!

Just last month, we lost our loyal and loving lab, Belle. She was 13 years old and it was just her time. Kadie sure misses her and now has become a full time inside dog which we swear we would never do..sigh.. But seriously, the dog acts like she has always been an inside dog!

This is just the short version of our busy and hectic life over this past year. We hope you enjoyed reading our update and that you have a wonderful Christmas holiday and a healthy and prosperous new year!

Blessings~ Stacy, Amy, Jayden, Rylee and Mayson
